Presenting Butch & Christy Harmon
In a picture perfect "wedding among the vines," Butch & Christy Harmon held their wedding ceremony at a black tie gathering on a private estate high above St. Helena. Minister Mike Ireland presided over the event while caterer Elaine Bell and florist Michael Holmes tended to the details. The exquisite wedding cake was prepared by Perfect Endings. The Location One of the appeals of wedding photojournalism is the ability to capture more than just portraits and images of the actual wedding ceremony. The photography session actually began three days prior at the Chardonnay golf course in the Napa Valley. The morning was spent riding around with the groom in golf carts as he played along with different foursomes at each hole of the morning's tournament. A vineyard tour was available for guests not participating in the morning's golf excursion. Later that afternoon, the wedding party gathered at Compadres for a Mexican style Fiesta buffet before attending the Kenny G concert in nearby Santa Rosa. Kenny G put on an amazing show and surprised all by taking the time to honor the wedding party by dedicating a set to them. The evening culminated with a champagne toast for the bride and groom. The Ceremony Christy was absolutely radiant as she was escorted down the aisle. The scene was more than beautiful and was only enhanced by the amazing music of Kenny G. Michael Holmes designs did a breathtaking job with the decor. Every last detail was exquisite - with candles surrounding the pool areas to over 7000 roses displayed in the archway and center pieces. In short, this was a fairy-tale wedding at it's best. A Special Note from the Harmon's "Cheri ... We truly enjoyed our time with you at the pre-wedding events as well as our wedding day. From the moment I first talked to you on the phone through the entire wedding weekend, I felt like I had made a new friend. We appreciated your enthusiasm and ability to make us all feel so comfortable.
Warmly, A Note to the Bride and Groom The Harmon's are one of the most incredible couple's I have had an opportunity to photograph and their love story is just as amazing. The love they share is what most people only dream about. I wanted to take this opportunity to thank them for including me in their wedding celebration and for allowing me to help them remember this weekend with some of their most cherished moments captured on film.
